There is just something so fresh and springy about white flowers accented with green. The calla lily arrangement features six standard callas and six stems of Belles of Ireland accented with a touch of variegated pittosporum in a standard vase that I paint treated with gold paint. It is an old technique that works really well and is quite easy. I just fill a bucket with clean water and then I spray a few sprays of gold florist paint into the bucket on top of the water...then you just dip the vase into the water. The paint adheres to the vase and creates a lovely finish. You do have to coat it with a top coat of clear acrylic spray, but it is an easy project.
The arrangement with the artichoke is quite easy to do as well...just a simple square container with floral foam and a large, fresh green artichoke in the center with a circle of white tulips and fresh foliage under that. Very simple but elegant.
