Creative use of agapanthus...




Today we will focus on an event that used purple/blue agapanthus. Now this flower is usually very tall with a long smooth stem. For this particular event, we chose to use the aggies, as they are nicknamed, as just the bloom. It gave the burst of color without all the extra foliage that we didn't want. The arrangements were placed in long ceramic containers that echoed the colors of the stained wood chairs and really popped on the copper linen. Hope you enjoy!

Anniversary Party in Prescott...

















Some of my favorite things are unlikely color combinations and tightly grouped flowers. The biggest impact and the most clean looks. This is a good choice is you are looking for something lush without a huge expense. Here we used red roses, green fuji mums and lavender poms...it was a nice combo. The stands for the red arrangement were short candle holders that were purchased at a discount store and painted flat gold.

This has been an idea of mine for awhile. I love flowers and floral design and have been blessed to be able to do it for a living for the past 23 years. I have lots of ideas in my head and have always wanted to write a book about design and highlight my ideas.
I am a newbie blogger, so you'll have to be patient with me while I learn the ropes. I hope to post photos of work, ideas and photos from random sources, and my little insights into this industry...maybe tips and such for designers, or ideas and tips for brides. Not sure yet how this all will come together, but I am optomistic! Wish me luck!!!
