Southwest Sweethearts Tie the Knot

A SOUTHWEST WEDDING...

This is a wedding I did for a photographer who had a lovely vision for her wedding and I hope that I translated it to her liking. She gave me a fabulous inspiration board and it was very simple to get the feel for what she was looking for. I tea stained and custom created a fabric bloom for her hair. We used small succulent plants for the boutonnieres and we incorporated succulents into the attendants' bouquets....it was a romantic and spectacular day.

Southwest Decor Sizzles

Southwest ranch home gets "done up" for a photo shoot in AZ Society magazine....
I created a sophisticated elegant ranch theme for this luncheon that was featured in AZ Society...using orange pincushion protea and white roses and succulent plants, the contrast factor was in high gear...the cowhide chairs juxtaposed with fine silver candelabra created a glorious table scape with tons of texture and vibrancy...

Pretty in Pink

Pretty in Pink Wedding...just beautiful...

Bright pink calla lilies were the center of this beautiful wedding. We incorporated the pink calla lilies into the bridal bouquet which also featured white French stock and glittering black sparklies and a bright pink ribbon wrap with crystal accents...the custom-made flower girl basket brought the hot pink and black theme together...and the boutonnieres were made simply from calla lilies wrapped with black ribbon...this event was spectacular in it's elegant simplicity. On the reception tables we alternated cylinder vases with black gems and submerged calla lilies and floating black candles and large bubble bowls with pink calla lilies swirling inside and a floating black candle...for the ceremony, we used black iron candlabra and aisle candle stands...the simple black arch was accented simply with calla lilies and touches of foliage..it was a gorgeous day!

AUSSIE THEMED PARTY - IN THE ARIZONA DESERT!

This recent event is just an example of how we can put it all together in a matter of hours...we had an actual 72 hours to put all the components of this event together, but it all came out beautifully....even the six little koala bears that had to be specially made for me the morning of the event...

White flowers with green accents

There is just something so fresh and springy about white flowers accented with green. The calla lily arrangement features six standard callas and six stems of Belles of Ireland accented with a touch of variegated pittosporum in a standard vase that I paint treated with gold paint. It is an old technique that works really well and is quite easy. I just fill a bucket with clean water and then I spray a few sprays of gold florist paint into the bucket on top of the water...then you just dip the vase into the water. The paint adheres to the vase and creates a lovely finish. You do have to coat it with a top coat of clear acrylic spray, but it is an easy project.

The arrangement with the artichoke is quite easy to do as well...just a simple square container with floral foam and a large, fresh green artichoke in the center with a circle of white tulips and fresh foliage under that. Very simple but elegant.
